All roads lead to Rome．条条大道通罗马。
这句的意思是，不同的道路把不同的人引向共同的目的地——罗马。由于在古代，罗马是欧洲人共同向往的地方，这句谚语正是借用罗马来作比喻：要达到同一个目的，可以用不同的方法，通过不同的途径，不必强求千篇一律。这喻义对科学或其他学问的研究都可作借鉴。
这条谚语出自英国十四世纪名作家乔叟（Chaucer）的一篇关于古代天文仪器星盘的论文，原句是：“Diverse paths lead diverse folk the right way to Rome.”
