A man talks like a wise man and acts like a fool．说起来聪明，做起来愚蠢。
这句话说明一个人说的和做的往往是两回事，而这两回事相比，说要比做容易得多。正如以下谚语：
Saying is one thing and doing is another．
谈谈是一回事，要行动起来又是另一回事。
（It is）Easier said than done．
说时容易做时难。
又有谚语说：
The greatest talkers are the least doers．
说话最多的，做得最少。
甚至有些人干脆只说不做：
He who gives fair words feed you with an empty spoon．
说话动听的人只提供空言。
因此人们希望别人要做得好而不是说得好：
It is better to do well than to say well.
Action speaks louder than words.
