民国狂人刘文典

提起庄子，无人不知。庄子被称为神人。神人，自然非一般人所能懂。然而民国时期的大学问家刘文典却称自己懂，他曾称：“古今以来，真懂《庄子》者，两个半人而已。第一个是我刘文典，第二个是庄周，另外半个嘛…，还不晓得！”此等狂傲，世间罕见。
刘文典的狂，在民国就已经是人尽皆知的事。最著名的就是刘文典跟蒋介石对骂的事迹。据历史资料记载，当时二人正在为学生冲突的事情进行协商。结果学生冲突的事还没谈好，两个人倒是差点打起架来了。两人冲突时的对话有两个版本。一是蒋介石骂刘文典是土豪劣绅，而刘文典则反击说蒋介石是新军阀！刘文典这句话可以说是碰到蒋介石的底线了。另一版本则是蒋介石搬出了孙中山来压刘文典，刘文典则骂蒋介石说自己跟孙中山闹革命的时候，根本不知道蒋介石是什么东西！这样狂的人，蒋介石自然是无法容忍的。别说蒋介石了，就是圣人在场，说不定也得给他一耳刮子。结果可想而知，刘文典被抓起来关进了监狱。貌似蒋介石赢了，其实刘文典才是赢家。这件事被当时的文坛津津乐道，胡适，鲁迅都曾撰文提过这事。刘文典也因此名声大噪。这狂，真是狂出品牌，狂出风骨来了。
刘文典一生潜心于研究古典文学，所以非常瞧不起搞新文学创作的人。曾有人问他知不知道巴金是谁。巴金在当时因为激流三部曲已经成为文坛大咖，刘文典明明知道，却故意说不认识。对于朱自清，沈从文这些人，刘文典更是不把他们当人看。他曾说：“陈寅恪才是真正的教授，他该拿四百块钱，我该拿四十块钱，朱自清该拿四块钱。可我不给沈从文四毛钱！他要是教授，那我是什么？”在西联大的时候，有一次为了躲避空袭，刘文典和学生搀扶着陈寅恪逃跑，这时候沈从文刚好从刘文典身边擦身而过，刘文典一看他嘴贱的毛病就犯了，对旁边的学生说道；“陈寅恪跑是为了保存国粹，我跑是为了庄子，你们跑是为了未来，沈从文替谁跑？”可怜沈从文遇到了这么个狂人，真是躲都躲不起，只能是睁一只眼闭一只眼了。
刘文典讲元好问，吴梅诗的诗时，更是直言这两人的`诗比不上自己。要知道，元好问是金末明初的文坛盟主，一代文宗。元好问的那句“问世间情为何物，直教人生死相许”更是成了千古绝唱。吴梅村则是明末清初的著名诗人，与钱谦益，龚鼎孳合称“江左三大家”。可是刘文典也没把这两人放在眼里。可见刘文典的狂，已经狂的古人都不放在眼里了。
不过刘文典这人虽然狂，却是有狂的资本的。据说他在大学授课，讲课的内容从中国的先秦到近现代，从希腊，印度，德国到日本，几乎达到了无所不知的地步。尤其是对《庄子》的研究，更是被当时的文坛认为天下第一。刘文典讲课的时候，甚至大名士吴宓也得毕恭毕敬的听着。其学问之高可见一斑。而且刘文典的狂并不是对每个人都是如此的。他对陈寅恪就从来都是毕恭毕敬，引为上宾。之所以这样都是因为他认为陈寅恪学问比他高。可见狂生刘文典的狂，只对那些他认为不如他的人。只是，在这个狂生眼里，世间又有几个人学问比他高？
怕只能是这么说了：“古今以来，学问胜我刘文典者，一个半人而已。一个人是陈寅恪，另外半个嘛……，还不晓得！”
